This exhibition is about growing up and becoming yourself.

About the journey you go through in order to become who you are: the situations and experiences no one prepared you for, the joys no one ever spoke about, the fears you have no one to share with, the guilt and shame that make it hard to breathe freely.

None of it happened all at once — it accumulated over the years. Memories that, twenty years later, give meaning to certain habits, reveal long-forgotten interests and talents that are still not easy to live with today.

A body which remembers so much, which adapted itself to survive, that is now learning to relax and live in the present. Each artwork is a moment that changed a life. Tiny or immense, quiet or still ringing loudly in the ears.

This exhibition is about the gratitude toward one’s past.

Liza Demukh is an artist and illustrator from Belarus. In her work, she explores themes of growing up and initiation, emotional dependency, and loneliness. Through sharp, vivid lines and tonal contrasts,

Liza emphasizes the imperfect nature of the real world — beautiful and frightening at the same time.

And reminds us that only through openness and vulnerability we can be honest with ourselves and with the world around us.
